Welcome Baby Timothy!

Welcome to the world Timothy Daniel! He was born to Eric and Kerri (aka Uncle Eric and Aunt Kerri) this morning weighing in at 8 pounds. We can't wait until you are baptized into the family of God next Sunday!

George is 6 Months Old!

It's hard to believe that George is 6 months old already!

At his 6 month check up today, he was:
19 pounds 3 ounces
28 and 1/4 inches long

He's our big boy :) It's only a matter of days until her figures out how to crawl. He's been getting up on all fours with his tummy off the ground for a couple of weeks, but he has started rocking and moving his knees forward in the last few days.

Introducing....

New Kitten

Introducing the newest member of our family--Kabuki!
She's just 10 weeks old. We picked her out from a litter of kittens at Gramma and Pepa's house last night. She's adorable, and seems to be pretty sweet and inquisitive. Cora really, really likes her.

Good Morning

I LOVE waking up to Cora's sweet little "Good Morning, Mommie!" every day. She says it was a smile even when she's not quite completely awake yet. Its so sweet and so loving, I just want to bottle it and keep it forever.

An Interesting Evening

To say that Cora has had a very busy week is quite the understatement. Tonight she fell asleep at the dinner table. Patrick washed her up, changed her into her pajamas and put her to bed and she barely even squirmed. About an hour later, she woke up sobbing. I put George down on the floor in his room with a stuffed animal and went to see if I could comfort her (I never did find out what was wrong, she was sooooo tired). When I went back to check on George, he had rolled onto his tummy and passed out in the middle of his floor. Honestly, I knew we were all tired, but I had no idea it was this serious!

Gotta Crawl

George is so close to crawling! He manages to scoot around all over the place, but if he could just coordinate those legs and arms we'll really be in for a chase. He already loves to get into his sister's toys--especially her farm and her train set. Tonight I was playing with him and singing:

Gotta crawl (gotta crawl, gotta crawl)
to the Ugly Bug Ball (to the ball, to the ball, to the ball)
What a joyous time we'll have there
At the the Ugly Bug Ball (at the ball).

A Wonderful Trip!

We just got home from a wonderful trip to Wisconsin.

Last Saturday, I drove the kids, my mom, brother, and Shrek (one of their dogs) to the Chicago area. We met up with Zack (currently in Detroit area) for a nice visit that evening and the next morning. Cora enjoyed getting to hang out with him--and is still talking about "seeing Uncle Zack".

After lunch on Sunday, I took the kids up to the Milwaukee area for a few days. We were able to visit with Dr. Behnke and go to part of an Alleluia Ringers rehearsal--Cora even got to ring a bell :) We got a see a lot of people--although there are always more that we wish we could catch up with. We hung out with Kim and the boys one morning and took a road trip for jalapeno summer sausage with Joya and Tessa. We even got to attend a Chapel service at Concordia complete with a small ensemble and the Chapel Ringers--and, best of all, Cora was very well behaved during the service.

We were sad to say goodbye on Thursday morning, but also excited about going home to see Daddy. The kids did GREAT in the car. It was a little hectic to be a "single mom" for a week, but it was so nice to get a chance to see people and to take things kind of slow--as opposed to the crazy whirlwind trips we usually make. It was really neat to me that Cora (and George, sort of) got to meet and play with Tessa and Logan and Andrew.

Trains, Trains, Trains

Tonight we celebrated Cora's Baptismal Birthday with her godparents and their son. We went to a local restaurant that delivers your food via train cars along the ceiling. Cora was SO excited! She announced to the whole restaurant several times "Look! It's a train! Chug-a-Choo-Choo!" It was definitely a memorable experience for all of us.

Happy Baptismal Birthday, Cora!

Happy Baptismal Birthday, Cora! We are glad that you are part of God's family!

Happy Birthday, Cora!

Almost a Smile

Happy Birthday, Cora!
It's hard to believe that you are 2 years old already!
